I have preached on this passage (Matthew 25:31-46) several times over the years. This time, however, is the deepest I have ever dug in. It seems it’s a common view that its best to avoid the topic of judgment in today’s sermons because of the abuses of the past. We’ve all heard the stories of the old-fashioned, screaming preacher bringing hellfire and brimstone to the pews on a weekly basis. Nobody needs that, especially Christians who know they have been saved from judgment, right? But may I suggest that in our haste to move past this subject we might be missing some of what passages like this teach? Maybe even some important truths that would have a serious impact on other areas of our beliefs? I encourage you now to listen by clicking HERE!
