NEW! We added a new MP3 sermon, and we would like you to check it out. It is titled “A Means or an End” and it is a look at Luke 9:23-25 which states:
And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?”
This newest sermon takes a look at what it means to take up our Cross. It asks the question, “Are you following Christ wherever He goes, or only if He is going your way?” It examines the obvious question brought about by this verse, “If I am to die to myself, why am I following Him?!?”. This is one of the more challenging sermons currently posted. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Nice job, ChurchSalt. So very true what you were saying about why are we becoming a Christian? To get something? We should be serving God regardless of us getting anything out of Him. We should be serving Him because He is worth it…period. God is not a means but an end. He is our destination and we have to allow Him to drive the vehicle of our life to that destination, no matter where it leads us. Get in the trunk and make yourself comfortable!
